This post was originally written in 2012 – but I wanted to share it again. It was such a powerful and timely word for me and I thought it might be encouraging for you too!
What you see at the top of the mountain remember in the valley! This is what the Lord is saying to me today. We may like things to be constant. We may not like the scenery to change much. However, that is not what this year is going to look like. There is going to be movement and change. You cannot have momentum without these. You cannot stay the same and change at the same time. We need to be sensitive to the movement of the Spirit and move with Him. This is the constant, so to speak, that will keep us in the midst of ups and downs this year.
The Presence of God will be the stabilizing factor in our lives this year. The two banks of the river of God will always be the Word and the Spirit. This year, as never before, we must get into His presence and hear what what He is speaking. Then, we will be sustained through times of turbulence and triumph.
