If we really believed Jesus when He said that it is more blessed to give than to receive, we would be much more aggressive in our sowing. Human nature is predisposed to selfishness. It takes a conscious effort to break free from the cycle that perpetually puts self at the center. Giving is one of God’s methods of character development. We become more Christlike when we develop a lifestyle of giving.
